My name is Carolyn Voss, and I am a Chicago-based user interface designer.

Following 15 years as a production designer in theater (and other live event work), I have made the switch to user interface design.

I have always thrived on the blend of creative thinking and structured analysis required of design, regardless of the medium.

I believe in an iterative process, collaborative feedback, and putting the project first above personal ego.

Years of working in entertainment have honed my ability to work and communicate efficiently in the moment, enabling me to collaborate with a wide variety of personalities and team structures.

I am highly experienced working in fast-paced, deadline-driven, and agile environments.

Above anything else, I am driven to make beautiful and useful work. Intrinsically motivated by learning, I love pursuing variety in my project work.

Whilte I am most at home with applications featuring communication and entertainment, I would never let that stand in the way of a good challenge.
